1. Who we are
L. Dewitt Lubrication (a division of L. DeWitt McCarter, Inc., Live Oak, Texas) is an authorized distributor of Bijur Delimon International, Farval and LubeSite products. We sell genuine manufacturer parts that ship to you directly from the manufacturer's stocking location. Because of that, our returns and warranty terms follow the manufacturer's terms and conditions, and any return or warranty claim you make with us is processed with the manufacturer on your behalf.
2. Return authorization (RMA)
All returns require a Return Authorization number issued by L. Dewitt Lubrication before the product is shipped back. To request one, email sales@ldewitt.net or call (210) 494-1997 with your order number, the part number(s), quantity and the reason for return. Returns received without an RMA number clearly marked on the outside of the package will be refused and returned at the sender's expense.
RMA requests must be made within 30 days of the date you received the product. Once an RMA is issued, the product must be received back within 30 days or the authorization expires.
3. What can be returned
Standard stock items may be returned for credit if they are new, unused, uninstalled and in their original, undamaged manufacturer packaging with all documentation. Returned items are inspected on receipt; products that show signs of installation, fluid contact, damage or missing components will be returned to you or credited at a reduced amount.
The following are not returnable except in the case of a confirmed manufacturer defect or a shipping error on our part:
- Made-to-order, configured or built-to-spec products (for example SureFire II, MultiPort II and other lubricators configured by part number, divider valve assemblies built to a section count, custom hose and tubing assemblies).
- Special-order and non-stock items.
- Electrical components, controllers and sensors that have been powered up or installed.
- Items sold as kits where the kit has been opened.
- Products more than 30 days past receipt.
4. Restocking fees and credits
Approved returns of stock items are credited at the original purchase price less a restocking fee. The manufacturer's restocking fee is normally 25% of the purchase price and may be higher for items that require inspection or repackaging; we will confirm the exact fee when we issue the RMA. Original outbound shipping charges are not refundable, and return freight is the customer's responsibility and must be prepaid. Credits are issued to the original payment method, or against your account for net-terms customers, once the manufacturer has received and inspected the goods, typically within 10 to 15 business days.
If the return is the result of our error (wrong part shipped, duplicate shipment) or a confirmed defect, no restocking fee applies and we will arrange return shipping.
5. Order minimum, cancellations and changes
Orders placed on ldewittlubrication.com are subject to a minimum order value of $135.00 (before tax). For smaller requirements, contact us and we will advise on the best way to fill them.
Because orders are transmitted to the manufacturer for fulfillment shortly after they are placed, an order can only be cancelled or changed before it has entered production or been released for shipment. Contact us as soon as possible; we will confirm whether cancellation is still possible. Made-to-order and configured products cannot be cancelled once the manufacturer has begun work, and cancellation charges reflecting materials, labor and engineering already committed may apply.
6. Shipping damage, shortages and wrong items
Please inspect every shipment on arrival. Report visible damage, shortages, or incorrect items to us within 5 business days of delivery, and keep all packaging until the claim is resolved; freight carriers require it. Where possible, note damage on the carrier's delivery receipt at the time of delivery. Concealed damage discovered after delivery should be reported immediately. We will file the carrier claim and arrange a replacement or credit.
Shipments are made F.O.B. point of shipment; title and risk of loss pass to the buyer when the carrier accepts the goods. Quoted lead times and delivery dates are estimates based on manufacturer stock and are not guaranteed.
7. Manufacturer warranty
Products sold by L. Dewitt Lubrication carry the manufacturer's standard warranty. Bijur Delimon, Farval and LubeSite warrant their products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the period stated in the manufacturer's published terms and conditions of sale in effect at the time of shipment, provided the product is installed, operated and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's published specifications. Contact us for the warranty period that applies to a specific product.
The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear (including wear items such as seals, brushes, filters and cartridges), damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, improper installation, contaminated or incorrect lubricant, operation outside rated pressure, voltage or temperature, or products that have been modified or repaired by anyone other than the manufacturer or its authorized service centers.
The exclusive remedy under this warranty is repair or replacement of the defective product, at the manufacturer's discretion, after the product has been returned under an RMA and the defect has been confirmed. The warranty does not cover labor, removal, reinstallation, downtime, lubricant, consequential or incidental damages, or shipping to the manufacturer. Warranty claims must be reported in writing within 30 days of discovering the defect.
8. How to make a warranty claim
- Contact us with the order number, part number, date of installation and a description of the failure. Photos or a short video help speed the review.
- We will open a claim with the manufacturer and issue an RMA if the product needs to be evaluated.
- Ship the product prepaid, RMA number on the package, with a copy of the claim.
- Once the manufacturer confirms the defect, a repaired or replacement unit is shipped to you at no charge, or credit is issued if a replacement is not available.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, L. Dewitt Lubrication's liability on any order is limited to the purchase price of the product in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost production, lost profit or equipment damage, arising from the use of or inability to use any product we sell. The manufacturer's complete terms and conditions of sale apply to all products and are incorporated by reference.
10. Questions
We would rather solve a problem than process a return. If a part is not what you expected, or you are unsure it will fit your system, contact us before installing it: sales@ldewitt.net · (210) 494-1997 · Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Central.
This page summarizes our returns and warranty practice as a distributor. Where anything here conflicts with the manufacturer's published terms and conditions of sale, the manufacturer's terms govern.
